Kenny Goh

Chief Geophysicist

Mr. Kenny Goh has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector as a successful exploration geophysicist, primarily in the international arena.

Mr. Goh was a founding partner and senior vice president of exploration for Kosmos Energy, an international oil and gas exploration and production company focused on underexplored regions in Africa. Prior to Kosmos, Mr. Goh was chief geophysicist for Triton Energy when the company discovered the Ceiba field and several other oil fields offshore Equatorial Guinea. While at Triton, he also was involved in the discovery of many giant natural gas fields in the Malaysia/Thailand Joint Development Area. After Triton’s sale to Hess Corporation, Mr. Goh was senior geophysical advisor for Hess’s deepwater Gulf of Mexico team.

Early in his career, Goh worked in Southeast Asia for the Malaysian state petroleum company Petronas and Shell/Carigali. At Shell, he was responsible for the re-evaluation of five large, mature producing fields in the Baram Delta. While based in London and Aberdeen for Sun Oil International E&P, he was involved in North Sea exploration and production, including development of the Glamis field.

Mr. Goh is a graduate of the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, and holds a BSc. (Hons.) in applied geology.
